Mini shoulder pouch

I love making bags and have made a few over the years. My recent purchases at the Stitches and Craft show in April included a pattern for this mini shoulder pouch.

Unfortunately I am not yet used to taking photos of each step to use on the blog, but I thought I would share these photos of the finished product.

This is the pattern from Studio Mio.

It was very easy to follow and I had purchased the closure and strap as well.  There are 2 pockets on each side of the bag, so it will be perfect for when I just need to carry my phone and a few dollars with me.

Here are some finished shots.  The fabric was purchased last year from Kimono house in Melbourne. I wasn’t sure which way was up for the text so I think it’s going sideways, but I only had a small piece of this fabric left from other projects. I loved the way the corners were done, I’ve never tried this method before but it was easy by just following the instructions.

I hand stitched on the closure, and because the strap was too long I simply knotted it to make it shorter.

Here it is with my new coat!

Until next time, Lyn
